November 2026

By the time you receive this newsletter, harvest will be progressing nicely across our entire trade area. It has been another busy fall, and I want to thank our members for your patience, communication, and continued trust in our employees. Harvest puts a lot of pressure on everyone, and I’m proud of the way our teams have worked together to keep grain moving and serve our members throughout the season.

November also marks the first full month of our new fiscal year. While our year-end financial work and external audit are still underway, this is always a good time to reflect on the year we just completed. And 2026 certainly gave us plenty to reflect on.

We brought two cooperatives together, welcomed new members and employees, expanded our service territory, invested in facilities across the organization, and continued working to strengthen Premier for the future. Through all of that change, our focus has remained pretty simple: take care of our members and earn their business every day.

As harvest winds down, our attention also turns toward the next crop year. Fuel and fertilizer markets have reminded us again this fall just how quickly conditions can change. In October, we talked about the importance of planning and managing that uncertainty. I would encourage you to continue those conversations with your Premier agronomist, grain marketer, energy specialist, or local team. Our goal isn’t simply to sell you something. It’s to understand your operation, help you evaluate the opportunities in front of you, and be a partner you can rely on when conditions change.

I also encourage you to stay involved in your cooperative. Our 2027 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, at the Wisconsin Riverside Resort in Spring Green, WI. Information on director elections, scholarship applications, and more can be found in this newsletter and future updates.

As you finish harvest and gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you’ll have an opportunity to slow down and appreciate a successful season. Please continue to work safely, stay connected with your local Premier team, and let us know how we can better serve your operation in the year ahead.

From all of us at Premier Cooperative, thank you for your continued support and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

I hope you were able to have some fun on Halloween.  I trick-or-treated back in the late 60s and early 70s. Maybe it’s my imagination, but doesn’t it seem like it rained every Halloween back then? And wasn’t the candy a lot better too? Except black licorice - that one got traded immediately.
